Summary

Australian Good Meat, owned by Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), is a consumer-facing platform, designed to educate consumers on where their food comes from, and answer questions on the red meat industry in relation to animal welfare, the environment and red meat nutrition. MLA is collaborating with Taste of Tasmania to connect with ‘Passionate Foodies’ by: ·,,Demonstrating the versatility of beef and lamb, and the ease of cooking dishes at home ·,,Connecting foodies with beef and lamb farmers ·,,Utilising the skills of well-known chef/s to showcase the product This is through a $35,000 partnership with the City of Hobart (Taste of Tasmania organisers). MLA is conducting 10 x 30min cooking demonstrations over 5 days (avg. 2 per day) to an audience of up to 270 people per demonstration, with a chef and farmer co-hosting the demonstration.
