Summary

The consultant provides system support in relation to the myMSA website and DCU application for MLA staff and system vendors.

Objectives

The support and maintenance activities include:
• technical support to MLA staff
• technical support and assistance to system vendors
• database performance monitoring and enhancements where required
• monitoring of the schedules nightly operations (NLIS/RFID retrieval, indexed database regeneration)
• DCU application support as required
• file grade utility support as required
• technical and user support.

Benefits to industry

The MSA systems allow processors, brand owners, producers and lot feeders to utilise the MSA grading data collected and asses their system in order to validate any production changes which aim to optimise eating quality.

Future research

The consultant will continue to be contracted to provide MSA system support.
