Summary

The Australian Pasture Genebank (APG) has been supported as a national facility by MLA, GRDC, Dairy Australia, AWI, RIRDC and SARDI. Seeking to inform development of an improved funding model of the APG, a review was progressed. This CMA was MLA's contribution to the cost of the review.
The review focused on three core questions:
1. What is the core business of the APG?
2. What are potential funding models for the APG?
3. Are there current cost/operational efficiencies?

The report was to include:
• An implementation strategy for recommended funding models and operational/functional changes, including timelines and milestones.
• Likely implementation timelines of other funding sources/ models and mechanisms to achieve operational efficiencies (1-3 years, 3-10 years, >10 years).
• Costs, both monetary and otherwise, associated with adopting recommended changes.
A report was delivered the APG Steering committee.
