Summary

The purpose of this project is to maintain, develop and enhance the MLA Data Platform through the use of a specialist IT contracting partner.

The delivery of the MLA Data Platform followed a phased approach. Through this foundation project, ISC has successfully delivered a Data Lake using the latest secure cloud technology, that consolidates disparate ISC datasets into a single massive data repository. This project focused on onboarding datasets from across MLA, its business units and subsidiaries, as well as ongoing support, maintenance, development and continuous improvement of the Data Platform architecture, infrastructure, and integration layers to MLA and ISC's digital products.

Benefits to industry

The Data Platform is an important enabler to underpin the implementation of the Integrity System 2025 Strategic Plan. It is the foundation of one of ISC's strategic pillars: leveraging integrity data to add value through the chain. As this platform grows, it will provide a single, secure and consolidated source of rich industry data to support rapid decision making and the exploration of new insights through research and data science.

MLA action

This project has helped in the adoption of the MLA Industry Data Platform and has created the opportunity to enhance the reporting platform for the NLIS system.
