Summary

Project (SLP) 'Phosphorous Management in Cattle'. The content of this SLP will aim to develop the skills and confidence of producers to be able to manage Phosphorous deficiencies in beef herds and understand the diagnosis of Phosphorous deficiencies and the practical requirements for effective supplementation.

Objectives

  • Work with Phosphorus researchers and beef nutrition package deliverers to develop a resource proposal and feedback from Phosphous deficient beef cattle production systems.
  • Develop producer manual, trainer manual, associated slides, KASA and PGS resources.
  • Provide potential deliverer details and develop train-the-trainer activity resources.
  • Plan and conduct train the trainer (in association with PGS National Coordinator).

Benefits to industry

Build the capability of potential deliverers by building skills and providing resources to deliver the Phosphorous Management in Beef Cattle PGS program.
