Summary
This project provided support to the MSA team and assisted with reviewing the MSA Quality Management System and USDA PVP program following the recent changes within the MSA program (MSA Integrity and training now being conducted by AUS-MEAT).
Objectives
Review and update of relevant documentation within the MSA Quality Management System in preparation for the ISO and USDA PVP audits in 2024.
Key findings
The MSA QMS is in good shape to manage the transition of MSA Integrity and Training Servicers to AUS-MEAT. MSA to keep working with AUS-MEAT auditors to maintain the integrity and trust in the MSA program.
Benefits to industry
Successfully maintaining ISO accreditation and USDA PVP approval is important for industry and customer outcomes and value capture for US destined product.
