Summary

Community sentiment research has been undertaken by a third-party researcher, Pollinate, since 2010 to understand the perceptions of Australian consumers towards the red meat industry. The research provides insights for research and development, producer practice change and communications to build trust and social capital in the red meat industry. The 2025 research indicated that the community have a positive perception towards the industry and relatively high levels of trust in the industry.

Objectives

Understand the community sentiment towards the Australian red meat industry. In particular perceptions towards animal welfare, environment and role of red meat in a healthy diet.
