Summary

The objective of this work is to develop an MLA-owned beef compliance SLP that will drive producer profitability through enhancing decision making processes around, and greater alignment to, compliance frameworks. The SLP will equip producers with a greater understanding of MSA compliance and skillset in utilisation of feedback platforms for carcase data.

Objectives

Developer will:
•    collaborate with relevant professionals to develop a Profitable Grazing Systems (PGS) package aimed at increasing on farm profitability through compliance and use of carcase data
•    develop producer manual
•    develop trainer manual
•    develop associated slides, KASA and PGS resources
•    provide potential deliverer details
•    develop train-the-trainer activity resources
•    plan and conduct train the trainer (in association with PGS Project Manager)
•    provision of registration details (as M&E)
•    plan and deliver a pilot SLP
•    identify key sticking points within the resources developed through this contract. 

The service provider will identify such issues via the pilot delivery and amend resources accordingly, as outlined in the schedule.

Key findings

As PGS is an adoption program, there were no key findings.The SLP will equip producers with a greater understanding of MSA compliance and utilisation of feedback platforms for carcase data.

MLA action

MLA continues to deliver the PGS program, supporting participants to have the opportunity to develop and practice skills with small groups of like-minded producers to improve business performance.

Future research

As PGS is an adoption program: no research is required.
