Summary

This project reviewed the systems used to support national livestock biosecurity response across Australian States and Territories and ascertain consistency, functionality, and efficiency gaps in how Australian States and Territories utilize the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) mirrored database, particularly leveraging the 'MAX' tool or equivalent systems.

Benefits to industry

Outputs of this project will be used as an input into strategic discussions at an industry - interjurisdictional level on the future of biosecurity traceability.
