The latest advice on best practice management of feedlot nutrition and milling operations will be the focus of seven workshops throughout Australia in April and May.

The one-day nutrition and milling workshops, organised by the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA) with the support of MLA, will be held in Queensland, NSW, SA and WA.

ALFA Technical Services Officer, Jeff House, said leading industry experts will present on a range of topics, from understanding nutritional analysis through to feed mill maintenance and the role of ionophores in feed mixes.

“The workshops are designed to provide lot feeders with practical advice and the latest research and development outcomes that they can use in their operations,” Mr House said.

“The workshops will also provide an update of ALFA industry initiatives, including National Feedlot Accreditation Scheme (NFAS) changes, antimicrobial stewardship, and analysis of feedlot rations.”
