06 October 2020
Welcome to the latest edition of Meat & Livestock Australia’s Global Markets Update.
The Australian red meat industry caters for the needs of many thousands of customers dotted across the globe. Increasingly those customers are asking that we meet not just product specifications but also support with product promotion. Today, it is a pleasure to announce a new initiative MLA has developed to support sales and promotion of Australian beef, sheepmeat and goatmeat in overseas markets.
In an effort to unlock and make accessible MLA’s digital marketing assets, such as photos and videos, a new portal has been released which allows stakeholders to download these via the True Aussie Beef and Lamb Website. Launching this week with an initial set of content such as lifestyle and food, livestock and farming photos, the portal will be strengthened with new assets as they become available and we gain licensing for older files.
The system is designed to allow fast access to downloadable content. Simply navigate to trueaussiebeefandlamb.com.au and start browsing. Users only need to fill in a simple registration form and then have immediate permission to download globally licenced content for use promoting Australian red meat.
Finally, MLA has recently released updated market snapshots, designed to give industry stakeholders access to in-depth insights into what is driving demand for red meat and Australia’s high quality product in global markets and domestically. These snapshots are the best way to understand the fundamentals of each market and help make sense of the monthly trade data trends that can also be found on the website.
We sincerely hope these assets and information help to further strengthen the position of Australian red meat with our customers globally. As always please feel free to contact me for a discussion about MLA’s international markets program.
