Summary
MLA and LiveCorp promote improvements in slaughter efficiency in countries importing Australian cattle and sheep. This project was to contribute to this goal by compiling a report on halal requirements in the Middle East and slaughter procedures that can improve animal welfare, meat quality, operator safety and processing efficiencies.
