Summary

MLA's investment into the plant-based solutions to dryland salinity cooperative research centre (CRC) aimed to join 9 other core partners to implement research development and delivery activities towards addressing salinity in Australia. The CRC was involved in developing plant-based solutions to dryland salinity and the supplementary bid supported by MLA adds the development of productive livestock systems as well as investigations into impacts on biodiversity.
Membership of the CRC provided MLA with access to CRC partner organisations undertaking salinity RD&E, and influence the direction of that RD&E. The Project supported the CRC's operations and will enable MLA membership, as a full member of the Board, on the CRC's management board.
