Summary

These projects provide for MLA's contribution to the ongoing activities of the Southern Australia Beef Research Council (SABRC) and its replacement, the Southern Australia Meat Research Council (SAMRC), which is an industry-research agency forum with the responsibility for determining and advising on strategic requirements for RD&E activities (including education and training) in the southern Australian red meat and livestock industry.  Costs covered include those for the chairman, secretariat, executive officer, operational costs with meetings (2 per year) and costs associated with producer participation.  MLA is one of six partners in SAMRC and there is a full cost sharing model in place that is pro -rated on numbers of sheep and beef.
