Summary
The ruminant medicine teaching workshop provided an opportunity for Australian Universities and external stakeholders to formulate key directions and goals for the future of ruminant medicine teaching. This facilitated the breadth of knowledge possessed by students and impart a sense of the value of ruminant medicine. Representatives from veterinary schools across the Australasian region, as well as an international expert, were invited to present and discuss their strategies and solutions. The workshop provided a forum for external stakeholders to contribute their views on aspects of ruminant medicine they believed are fundamental for veterinary graduates.
