Summary

​This project paid for the skills and expertise of the Industry Capability Manager whom developed a portfolio of research to assist the industry implement the recommendations from the Farmer review. The key body of research relates to the review of the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (ASEL). While the Government review is primarily focused on ASEL the industry wants to consider the whole supply chain and ensure that consideration is given to the ESCAS process which covers the in-market supply chain. The industry also considered other recommendations from the Farmer review in its approach to reviewing ASEL, such as relevant tools to assist exporters and stakeholders demonstrate compliance to the regulations governing the live export trade.
