Summary
A joint venture has been developed between V&V Walsh and Grand Farms, one of the largest red-meat importers in China. The Program requires WA producers to meet China market specifications and it is in this regard that the opportunity was developed to take ten leading lamb producers to study the Grand Farm supply chain in China in order to learn about market requirements (typical of other leading supply chains). The 10 producers participating in the immersion study tour are a representative composition of the wider WA processing sector with suppliers from both WAMMCO and Wellard's participating in the tour.
