Summary

The lack of contemporary and innovative business models within the Australian sheep meat sector has reinforced adversarial transactional behaviour and loss of trust within these supply chains. In recognition of the importance of business model innovation in attracting capital to the industry, alternative business models to be will be researched and developed.

Business model designs of particular interest are those which are intuitively market facing and possess the ability to secure capital from non-traditional sources as we endeavour to move the industry beyond the conventional adversarial 'open market' relationships which exists.
