Summary

This project enabled a group of WA mixed farmers to meet with identified data integration (DI) and business intelligence (BI) providers in Sydney to determine the relevance of their products and services for WA mixed farming businesses.

This application will enable this BI Group to travel to Sydney to meet with providers of DI and BI technology and develop a collaborative approach to develop this technology specific to agriculture and mixed farm enterprises. A key outcome of this collaboration was to consider the possibility of a larger follow-on project in this area in collaboration with the DI/BI providers. This follow on project is not part of this project and will be subject to rigorous MLA project review and approval.

This project was discontinued due to program priorities.

The following provides a summary of project deliverables.Identify relevant data integration (DI) and business intelligence (BI) products and services for WA mixed business farmers.Meet with a minimum of 6 providers of DI and BI technology and develop a collaborative approach to develop this technology specific to agriculture and mixed farm enterprises. Meetings will result in at least one larger follow-on project being developed in collaboration with the DI/BI providers and application submitted to MLA/MDC for funding.Increase the current knowledge of WA producers in relation to relevant data integration (DI) and business intelligence (BI) products and services and allow for the technology providers to understand what the needs of Australian mixed farmers are in the DI/BI spaceUse a design-led thinking framework to evaluate desirability, viability and feasibility of DI and BI technologies. This will inform the development of the scope for a potential future project.
