Develop an interactive farm management application for livestock producers and mixed farmers

Summary

​This project was developed to deliver an interactive farm management tool that presented real-time whole-farm management information to inform decisions encompassing labour, livestock and general mixed farming activities.   

The goal was to create a web-based platform that received data from mobile devices enabling efficient real-time capture, upload and analysis.  Additionally, the system would be designed to be open to other software and hardware providers to integrate their systems to enable livestock producers to more efficiently integrate services for more efficient reporting, analysis and pro-active decision making.

The project team competed end-user scoping and identified a number of potential third-party collaborators.  Despite their best efforts they were unable to engage other providers and, after multiple prolonged and unsuccessful negotiations, it was agreed that the project could not progress as planned.  The project was terminated before any development activity commenced.
