Objectives

This objective of this project is the development of an MLA owned pasture re-sowing SLP to provide a pathway for producers who have been trained in Pasture Paramedic to develop skills and confidence in the adoption of appropriate practices.

The outcomes of this project will be that the PGS program will:

  • own a pasture re-sowing package relevant to Southern Australia
  • build the capability of three potential deliverers through their involvement in building the package.

The developer will:

  • Collaborate with pasture professional network to develop a PGS Package to provide a logical continuum from the Pasture Paramedic Tool.
  • Develop producer manual
  • Develop trainer manual
  • Develop associated slides, KASA and PGS resources
  • Provide potential deliverer details
  • Develop train-the-trainer activity resources
  • Plan and conduct train the trainer (in association with PGS National Coordinator).

Benefits to industry

Profitable Grazing Systems is MLA’s flagship adoption program which will drive measurable, improved business performance outcomes for participating red meat producers.
