Summary
MLA undertakes annual Community Sentiment Research to understand the community perceptions of the Australian red meat industry to guide community communications strategy and provide input to industry research and development priorities. Results for 2024 indicate that perceptions are relatively positive towards the industry, however, more needs to be done to improve awareness of actions taken by the red meat industry to improve environmental sustainability and animal welfare. Results are communicated via the MLA website, a media release and numerous presentations to industry groups.
