Summary

The Profitable Grazing Systems (PGS) Supported Learning Package (SLP) 'Grass to Dollars' has been developed to coach producers in how to improve skills in pasture assessment, condition scoring livestock, pasture grazing management and optimising pasture utilisation.  This investment resulted in the delivery of 'Grass to Dollars' to a group of sheep and cattle producers in the Ararat region of Victoria.

Key findings

Due to the nature of the PGS program, there are no key findings.

Benefits to industry

PGS that impact participating producers, on average, receive a return of $17.47/ha due to the adoption of management practices.

MLA action

MLA will continue to invest in the PGS program.

Future research

Due to the nature of the PGS program, there was no research conducted and no further research required.
