Summary

The Refreshed Data Strategy Project aims to address the challenges of an outdated data strategy. By focusing on data governance, quality, culture, capability, infrastructure, compliance, security, and analytics, the strategy aims to unlock the full potential of MLA's data assets. Through extensive stakeholder consultations and surveys, the project identified challenges and offers recommendations for improving data governance, data literacy, collaboration, and infrastructure.

Objectives

The objective of this project is to develop a Refreshed Data Strategy that will provide direction on how MLA can maximise the value of the data it has available to meet business strategic objectives and ensure that the data activities and data enablers support and facilitate the delivery of the MLA Strategic Plan 2025 and Red Meat 2030.
