Summary

This project is an internal consultancy to assess how ISC can set itself up to deliver strong product leadership, including how we best structure the organisation to deliver product leadership, which internal processes will underpin this and what specific capability is required to deliver an effective and sustainable product delivery model for ISC. The output of the project will be a roadmap for ISC on how to implement the recommended changes.

Objectives

The project addressed the following objectives:
- Review the priorities and objectives of the IS2025 Strategy Refresh and previous work undertaken by ISC to determine the desired future state of ISC’s product leadership framework, including internal delivery recommendations (Project Prodigy) as well as a comprehensive assessment of ISC’s ways of working.
- Review current ISC product management/leadership framework, including organisational structure, process and capabilities.
- Develop a future product leadership framework that suits ISC as an organisation and enables the business to enhance its product leadership function in alignment with the IS2025 Strategy.
- Develop an overarching roadmap for implementation of the product leadership framework supported by artefacts, templates etc. The roadmap should include consideration of people, process, technology, governance as well as outline the delivery framework, resourcing, estimated timeframes, key dependencies and risks etc.
- Identify performance metrics for how to monitor the performance of ISCs product leadership function and how to track the performance on ISCs product delivery at an all of business level, with recommendations on how this can be reported internally and then to industry on an annual basis.
