Summary
MLA contributed to the alleviation of non-tariff barriers (NTBs) totaling $129 million (m) in FY25 including improved access to China (sheepmeat), establishment approvals in Malaysia and Vietnam and frozen offal shelf-life in Egypt. The cumulative NTB alleviation (from 2020 baseline) totals $664m.
Objectives
MLA makes a significant contribution to the joint industry effort of alleviating an additional $100m of the impact of non-tariff barriers.
