Summary

This project supported a group of producers in north-west Queensland to benchmark their businesses and engage in peer learning. Key achievements of the group included increasing confidence and skills in business, feedbase and herd management.

Objectives

The objectives of this project were to engage a group of beef breeding businesses in the north-west of Queensland to benchmark, undertake training activities and facilitate peer-to-peer learning.

Benefits to industry

This project supported training in business and herd recording skills and feedbase management skills, and fostered peer relationships for a group of seven producers managing a large land area in north-west Queensland.

Future research

Future research, development and adoption projects will continue to support building capacity in the northern Australian beef industry.
