Summary
The SLP 'LevelUp' has been developed to coach producers in how to take the family farm and turn it into the family business, covering the topics of strategy, governance, investment and the road to succession. 'LevelUp' is a Profitable Grazing Systems (PGS) package that is owned and delivered by Pinion Advisory Trust.
This investment resulted in the engagement of 24 red meat producers in Limestone Coast region of South Australia.
Objectives
Delivery of Pinion Advisory’s 'LevelUp' supported learning project (SLP) to two groups of sheep and cattle producers in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. The SLP will focus on the business curriculum.
Key findings
Due to the nature of the PGS program, there were no key findings.
Benefits to industry
There is a $2.50–$20/ha additional annual financial net benefit for participating southern producers. More than 22.5 million hectares of Australian agricultural land was influenced by the PGS program in 2021–2022.
MLA action
MLA will continue to invest in the PGS program.
Future research
Due to the nature of the PGS program, no research was conducted in this project and no further research is required.
