Summary
This project connected primary school students with producers through virtual lessons to introduce them to red meat production. Each 30-minute session focused on sustainability, ag tech, and well-being.
The initiative aligns with MLA's suite of Australian Good Meat Education resources and cross-promotes these materials to support awareness and adoption goals.
The FY26 program delivered 12 sessions, attended by 2,827 students and 142 teachers, with 80 per cent of teachers rating their overall program satisfaction at four or more out of five.
Objectives
- Build teacher and student understanding of modern, sustainable red meat and livestock production practices on-farm.
- Improve teacher awareness of MLA's suite of Australian Good Meat Education teaching/learning resources.
