Summary
This project reflects MLA's support of AgriFutures EvokeAg's landing pad start ups program 2026.
Objectives
The program aims to provide a 6‑day immersion experience for up to 10 international agrifood and ag‑tech startups. Through MLA’s co‑funding, the objective is to secure two dedicated places for startups aligned with the red meat sector and to support their selection and mentoring.
Key findings
MLA elected to sponsor Tier IV and Tertiary Extract.
Benefits to industry
This investment is designed to capture a strategic opportunity by engaging high‑potential and potentially 'footlose' ag‑tech innovators who can deliver solutions for the Australian red meat sector. Without MLA’s support, the program would remain broad and not targeted to sector‑specific needs.

Expected outcomes include establishing R&D partnerships and delivering on‑farm trials. The 2025 AgriFutures Landing Pad program achieved more than 20 collaborations and 32 trials, and MLA aims to match or surpass these results.
