Summary

This project developed a centralised user, member, and access management subsystem within the myMSA platform. The new service provides secure user authentication, role-based access control, centralised API key management, member search functionality, and a single source of truth for member and linked people data across all system applications. The project also enables access for non-MSA members to approved systems and support future expansion of digital services including myFeedback, benchmarking and objective measurement applications.

Objectives

The project aimed to develop and deploy the MSA Member and People Data Service subsystem within myMSA and myFeedback, create a centralised service for managing member, company and user information and implement a modern role-based security model for different MSA participant types.

It will support producer, non-LPA producer and general member search functions as well as future myMSA applications without dependence on current MSA member numbering systems.

Key findings

Increasing numbers of current and planned myMSA applications require a unified identity and access management framework.

Centralising user authentication, authorisation and member information will improve security, consistency and scalability across the MSA digital ecosystem.
The project established the infrastructure required for future applications, benchmarking services and external data integrations.
