Summary

The Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) program is the on-farm assurance program that underpins food safety, biosecurity, animal welfare and traceability credentials for Australian red meat.  LPA Learning is an online tool developed to assist livestock producers to better understand all practices required to meet LPA requirements and is available on demand to complete. The LPA Learning explains to producers the on-farm practices required and shows how to apply the LPA requirements to procedures and tasks in their business.   The LPA Learning content was refreshed and ready to be created into the MLA eLearning toolbox. This project developed the new learning functionalities into the MLA eLearning toolbox to enable the creation of the new LPA Learning modules.

Objectives

  • Deliver the new learning functionalities for the refreshed LPA elearning modules within the MLA elearning toolbox.
  • Support the LPA database vendor to develop APIs to connect the new LPA Learning modules within MLA eLearning toolbox to share learning certificates/completion within the LPA database.

Benefits to industry

Improved the education and user experience of the LPA eLearning modules for LPA accredited producers and supply chain participants. The new LPA learning modules records learning completed and generates a certificate.
