MLA’s tender process, rules and current tenders
MLA invites tenders from suitably qualified organisations or individuals to deliver projects and services aligned with MLA’s strategic priorities. Each tender opportunity will specify the project scope, requirements and closing date.
Tenders must review and comply with all requirements specified in MLA’s Tender Rules and Guidelines and the associated Request for Tender Application form for each tender opportunity. You can find a copy of MLA’s Tender Rules and Guidelines here: MLA’s Tender Rules and Guidelines.
MLA reserves the right to accept or reject any tender, negotiate with one or more tenderers, or vary the process as required under its Procurement Policy and SFA obligations.
Unless otherwise agreed, successful tenderers will enter into MLA’s standard umbrella agreements. More information on and copies of those agreements can be found on the MLA’s agreements page.

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals or organisations for the role of Technical Assessment Lead for the Livestock Sector Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Method.
MLA has been invited by the Australian Government to lead the development of a new Livestock Sector ACCU Method covering beef, sheep and dairy production systems. The successful applicant will provide independent scientific, technical and regulatory assurance throughout method development, including review of method architecture, abatement calculations, modelling approaches, draft method documentation and the carbon estimation tool.
The Technical Assessment Lead will support MLA, Module Leads and Technical Advisory Panels to develop a scientifically robust, evidence-based and defensible method that meets the requirements of the ACCU Scheme and the Offsets Integrity Standards.
The role will undertake independent technical assessments at key project milestones and prepare formal review reports to support method refinement, departmental review and final consideration under the ACCU Scheme approval process.
The project is expected to run for approximately 30 months, with a fixed budget of up to $100,000 AUD (excluding GST) available for the role.
