Summary

This project focusses on the identification and quantification of barriers to adoption and utilisation of Tender-stretching and other alternative hang methods in both sheep and beef plants.  The consultant will work with key processors to provide a clear benefit cost approach to determining the value of tender-stretching whilst also identifying catalysts that can assist the adoption of the science.  This project has a clear goal of lifting the utilisation of tender-stretching to 25% which would significantly improve the quality of both beef and lamb for Australian consumers.
