Summary

This project is for the writing and design coordination of the MSA 2020-21 Annual Outcomes Report and the 2021 MSA Beef Eating Quality Insights (ABEQI) Report.

Objectives

The purpose of the project was to deliver the MSA Annual Outcomes Report 2020-21 and the Australian Beef Eating Quality Insights Report. Both reports have been published online and hard copies printed.
The Annual Outcomes Report provides a summary of MSA activities and outcomes during the previous financial year.
The MSA Australian Beef Eating Quality Insights report consists of both national and state snapshots that detail the compliance, eating quality attributes and index performance of the herd over the previous two years. This report is completed biennially and is heavily utilised across the supply chain. The benchmarking data included in this report is of high interest to a number of stakeholders and assists producers to understand where their herd and results sit on a national and state platform.

Benefits to industry

The reports outline the value the MSA program delivers. The reports are used across the supply chain for reporting to industry stakeholders, including PICs, and enable producers to identify practice change opportunities to improve eating quality outcomes and current benchmarks.

MLA action

These two reports will continue to be developed on an annual and biennial basis to communicate the value delivered to industry by the MSA program.

Future research

These two reports will continue to be developed on an annual and biennial basis to communicate the value delivered to industry by the MSA program.
