New MLA podcasts hit the airwaves

06 May 2020

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) has today launched a new podcast featuring stories, news, information and interviews about all things red meat.

The new Feedback podcast from MLA – hosted by Australian media personality Ben Dobbin - includes everything from red meat producers to policy makers and celebrity chefs to scientists.

Episode one features gold medal winning Australian Paralympian and beef ambassador, Temora’s Scott Reardon, as well as an in-depth interview with MLA Managing Director Jason Strong on how industry is responding to the challenges from COVID-19.
We also feature the help available for producers impacted by bushfires, some red meat cooking tips from MLA sponsored celebrity chef Hayden Quinn, and Victorian producer Fiona Conroy walks us through the making of her family’s carbon neutral farm.

MLA Managing Director Jason Strong said the podcast was another important tool in connecting and engaging with red meat producers.

“The podcast is for anyone who has a keen interest in the red meat and livestock industry, with interesting stories, interviews and information about all things red meat – as well as a snapshot of news from MLA,” Mr Strong said.

“The podcast is particularly relevant at the moment given how many of us are at home due to COVID-19 and are searching for greater connection and up-to-date information.

“Whether at home, in the paddock, checking fences or driving the tractor – I’d encourage everyone with an interest in our industry to listen in.”

The Feedback podcast from MLA host Ben Dobbin – who also hosts the regional current affairs radio program, Rural Queensland Today – said he looked forward to sharing the stories of Australian red meat producers.

“MLA is integral to the success of the Australian red meat industry and I’m excited to bring my skills in broadcast to this innovative project,” Mr Dobbin said.
