Summary
A workshop to train scientists in the use of the Southern Grazing Systems model and get feedback from scientists on the use of the model for northern grazing systems. The model enhanced capacity to evaluate options around carbon mitigation or sequestration using 100 year climate data. Funds were for travel and accommodation for scientists to attend a training workshop on the use of the SGS model to evaluate carbon options in farming systems. The workshop was conducted in May at MLA office in Brisbane and approximately 15-20 people attended from all over Australia. The workshop was led by Ian Johnson of IMJ consulting with input from Beverley Henry.
