Summary

This company managed agreement (CMA) supported the grassfed beef portfolio for the 2020 financial year, to cover costs not allocated to specific projects but relating to the development of project ideas, stakeholder engagement and project reviews.

The investment activities targeted third party relationships to foster collaboration that delivers to the MLA strategy plan through RD&A outcomes. Activities included industry workshops, development of surveys, facilitated RD&A forums, travel for non-MLA staff (producers and service providers), external expert review of projects and support for the Beef Industry Breakfasts.

Objectives

The purpose of this project was to deliver engagement activities relevant to the grassfed beef program that involve and partner industry stakeholders and support internal processes – namely project planning, project reviews and external assessment of final reports.

Benefits to industry

This project has helped facilitate face to face activities targeted at third party relationships, to foster collaboration that delivers to the MLA strategy plan through RD&A outcomes.

MLA action

MLA continues to deliver Beef industry Breakfasts and support producers to engage in RD&A implementation and planning.
