Livestock Advisor Updates heads to Dubbo this August

31 Jul 2025

Meat & Livestock Australia’s (MLA) Livestock Advisor Updates is heading to Dubbo on 13 August following a successful Rockhampton event in July. The event will feature the latest research and development (R&D) updates as well as networking opportunities for southern advisors.

Livestock Advisor Updates are one-day, regionally-specific professional development workshops held across Australia. The workshops provide opportunities for livestock advisors, leading producers and professional extension consultants to:

  • learn about the latest red meat R&D
  • gain skills, tools and knowledge to increase their offering to clients
  • network with their peers.

The Dubbo Livestock Advisor Updates – held at Dubbo Zoo – will be opened by MLA Managing Director Michael Crowley. He will share MLA’s new strategic vision in addition to information about the latest research and innovation in the red meat industry.

The event will deliver technical sessions on the use of artificial intelligence in agricultural extension, emerging livestock and pasture management practices, and highlight the value of the livestock advisor role in the red meat industry.

The day will also offer a collaborative environment where advisors can engage with MLA experts and fellow professionals to share knowledge, learn from each other and build networks.
