MLA online weather services enhanced

Online weather services available through Meat & Livestock Australia’s (MLA) website and free myMLA dashboard have been enhanced to help producers with their on-farm management decisions.
MLA has partnered with Weatherzone to improve the design and features of the weather service, enabling users to readily access more detailed, personalised information.
MLA Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Lisa Sharp, said the enhancements further add to the personalised content which myMLA delivers direct to an online dashboard that is unique to each user and based on pre-determined preferences.
“The weather service on users’ personalised myMLA dashboard now offers an improved snapshot of current conditions and local forecasts and can now track multiple properties or locations,” Ms Sharp said.
“Users can use the arrows to swipe left or right to see their other saved locations, or ‘Edit Locations’ to revise their list.
“The myMLA service also links to MLA’s redesigned weather site for full weather forecasts. The website offers deeper weather insights including extended rainfall forecasts, detailed historical observations, and climatology, for users of myMLA.
“With the redesign, weather locations that are preferred or saved in myMLA are synced to an individual user’s favourites on the weather site – and vice versa – offering seamless integration between the two.
“Weather forecasts are critical to the on-farm management decisions red meat producers make every day in their businesses and the weather service provided by MLA historically accounts for up to a third of all MLA’s web traffic, so we understand how important this is to producers.
“Registration for myMLA is free and open to all visitors to the MLA website. Besides weather information, myMLA provides timely and personalised market indicators and reports, industry news, event listings and other resources to support producers on and off farm.”
