Summary

This project was established to, in association with Australian Wool Innovation, run a collaborative, two stage drought campaign, commencing October 2008 targeting sheep & livestock producers. Stage I delivered a media campaign focussing on decision making during drought by sheep producers. The campaign focused on key messages and decision making processes in relation to retention or dispersal of the breeding flock.
This was delivered via media releases, radio interviews, state-based flyers, recorded interviews available from websites and advertising. The media campaign was delivered by dedicated consultants in the states of NSW, Vic, SA & WA. Stage II delivered 48 forums focussed on delivering regionally relevant and specific information and practical hands on tools and materials to assist in planning & decision making, for livestock producers during and post drought livestock producers.
