Limitations to animal production for ruminants grazing immature pastures

Project end date: 27 August 2009
Publication date: 27 August 2009

Summary

It is recognised that the productivity of the Australian sheep flock is below its genetic potential and it is likely that one of the contributing factors is limited intake when grazing pasture high in water content. This project was to fund a Masters degree project to clarify the role of plant water in this process. The candidate withdrew and the project was terminated.
