Summary
This project continues to allow the MLA food safety research and development program to communicate the results of the program to industry, regulators, customers and consumers.
Communication materials produced as a result of this activity include;
- communicating shelf-life research to beef and sheep processors and gaining direction for future work
- consumer food safety brochures
- upgrading Refrigeration Index calculation tool
- communicating project on E. coli epidemiology to the Communicable
- disease Control conference
- sponsorship of the International Commission on Microbiological
- Specifications for Foods book titled ‘Microorganisms in Foods 8: Use of Data for Assessing Process Control and Product Acceptance'.
