Summary

​This project continues to allow the MLA food safety research and development program to communicate the results of the program to industry, regulators, customers and consumers.

Communication materials produced as a result of this activity include;

  • communicating shelf-life research to beef and sheep processors and gaining direction for future work
  • consumer food safety brochures
  • upgrading Refrigeration Index calculation tool
  • communicating project on E. coli epidemiology to the Communicable
  • disease Control conference
  • sponsorship of the International Commission on Microbiological
  • Specifications for Foods book titled ‘Microorganisms in Foods 8: Use of Data for Assessing Process Control and Product Acceptance'.
