Summary
This Company Managed Activity (CMA) was established to purchase semen (at a set cost of $10 per dose for R&D programs), aggregate at appropriate artificial breeding centres and transport it to the practitioner contracted to undertake the AI program. MLA Resource Flocks are based at the University of New England, Armidale, and the DAFWA research station, Katanning WA. Resulting progeny, and their data, are utilised by the Sheep CRC, Meat Standards Australia, Sheep Genetics and objective measurement projects.
