Summary

Stocksprayz Limited has developed a chemical solution, application and washing technology that has been demonstrated to be effective on sheep and cattle, and is currently being used at both abattoirs and feedlots in New Zealand. The B.FLT.0238 project examined the performance of the technology under New Zealand conditions through installation and trial of the technologies at Wakanui Feedlot (Five Star Beef Ltd), Ashburton, New Zealand.

This project covered incidental expenses incurred by Five Star Beef Ltd and Stocksprayz Pty Ltd in providing assistance to set up and conduct the trial. These expenses involved the labour to re-engineer the existing wash bay and washing system so the Stocksprayz system could be fitted, installion of the Stocksprayz system, assistance with cattle drafting and handling during the trial. It also covered expenses associated with supply and delivery of the Kleanup product, provision of a generator and a water tanker, and installation of electrical and plumbing work required for the trial.
