Summary

Kimberlin Education connects organisations to Australian Schools and teachers, through educational programs, lesson resources, and schools marketing campaigns. As part of MLA’s consumer education program, MLA will work with Kimberlin to continue to run the Virtual Classroom project through terms 3 & 4 of 2019 and continue into terms 1 & 2 of 2020.

These virtual excursions are a free, interactive, curriculum-linked resource that allow students from across Australia to engage with MLA’s beef, lamb and goat producer advocates via live video stream, see and hear what they do on their farms while taking part in educational activities, quizzes and even interacting with other schools. Classes learn firsthand about how Australian farmers produce ethical and sustainable beef, lamb and goat.

Topics cover:

  • sustainable farming practices
  • red meat nutrition
  • the importance of modern technologies and science in agriculture
