Summary
This project delivered a one-day workshop for RDA program and project managers by Veterinary Health Innovation on due diligence in innovation opportunity lead finding and product development frameworks.
Objectives
Deliver a one-day workshop in the first quarter of 2022 covering due diligence in innovation opportunity lead finding, with due diligence for a generic product and methane inhibiting feed additives as a case study.
Key findings
The workshop provided the teams with an overview for considerations when assessing new products, such as methane inhibiting feed additives.
Benefits to industry
The workshop provided MLA project managers with insights for development of new products that can help benefit subsequent investments by MLA into the future.
MLA action
MLA will seek to implement the product development frameworks when scoping and undertaking feasibility assessments into new product investments.
Future research
This workshop helped equip MLA with the tools to develop product development frameworks which can be applied to product evaluations prior to investment.
