Summary

Pasture Principles focuses on equipping producers with increased skills and capability to improve pasture productivity and livestock feedbase management across Tasmania. Pasture Principles is a Profitable Grazing Systems (PGS) package that is owned and delivered by Pinion Advisory Trust. This package was delivered to 64 red meat producers in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Objectives

Delivery of Pinion Advisory’s Pasture Principles supported learning project (SLP) to groups of sheep and cattle producers in Southern Australia.

Benefits to industry

Producers who particpate in the Profitable Grazing Systems program receive an average return of $17.47/ha due to the adoption of management practices.
