Summary

This is a recharge as agreed between MLA and LiveCorp per LEP Contribution Letter. No contract/schedule to be approved.

The LiveCorp-related expenditure associated with the delivery of LEP programs that will be recharged to MLA is a total of $475,000, across three programs.

Objectives

Outcomes for 2020-21: rollout of ASEL version 3 compliance and reporting obligations to industry with the use of LIVEXCollect to support improvements and efficiencies in the live export regulatory framework; use learnings from the Animal Welfare Indicators project to support the trialing of indicators on-board; the HRSA model is updated and adopted; and the ASEL Handbook app and Shipboard Stockperson Accreditation Program training materials are both updated to ASEL version 3.

Benefits to industry

One of the recharges is for the deliver the implementation and adoption of new or improved approaches, tools, standards and technologies that result from the LEP RD&E program, including the integration of research findings into regulation.
