Summary

MLAs share of IP costs for patent and IP protection whilst we sought animal health pharmaceutical company interest in investing in screening for a novel anthelmintic for control of parasites. This IP was jointly owned by Genetic Technologies Limited.
Two patents families resulted: Invertebrate control agents, compositions and methods of use and
UDP-Galactopyranose Mutase from Haemonchus Contortus, and Rnai Agents that Inhibit It (AU2009904881 & PCT/AU2010/001317)

This code (P.COM.0133) was superseded by B.CMM.0045 for ongoing management of the IP, due to an internal MLA restructure on where on-farm MDC related IP was held. The IP was released after irresolvable technical issues and a lack of interest by animal health pharmaceuticals to invest.
